Developing for Magnolia SaaS
How do I make sure Magnolia SaaS is picking up changes I make in my Git repository?
You need to make sure that you have connected your Git repository to our ingestion service. See Connect your git repo to Magnolia for instructions.
Can I share content I’ve been working on?
Of course.
With Magnolia SaaS, you can create your own Starter Kits to accelerate pitches, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and even new projects. Your team may have certain approaches and in-house best practices that you like to take with the frontend or with the Magnolia configuration. For example, teams often have a set of components or a design system that they like to use. By including these in a Starter Kit, you’ll be able to start new projects in minutes.
A Starter Kit is a standard Magnolia SaaS project with optional sample content, all in one directory. They are typically stored in a git repository, but they are fundamentally a single directory with files.
For more, see Starter Kit.

Are there any limitations compared to DX Core?
Yes, there are some limitations compared to DX Core.
-
Only single language sites are currently supported.
-
Access rights have been simplified to a single set of roles.
-
Advanced enterprise features like personalization or A/B/n Testing are currently unavailable.
-
Instead of a publishing workflow, editors have full control over publishing content immediately.
-
Connector Packs and incubator modules are not supported.
Does Magnolia SaaS work in all browsers?
Some browsers are set to block CORS which means that some changes you make to your subscription may not be reflected in a way they are supposed to.
For example, when trying to edit a page using Brave, you may be unable to add or edit page components. Using the same subscription in Chrome, that issue does not appear and you can add and edit components as you wish.
If you run into a similar issue, we recommend you change your protection and security configuration, or try out a different browser (for example, Chrome or Mozilla).
