Digital Asset Management

Digital asset management Bundled: Community edition Version 4.0.4 Magnolia 6.3 compatible

The DAM module in Magnolia CMS provides a centralized system for storing and managing digital assets like images, videos, and documents. It enables users to organize, edit, and reuse assets across pages and applications while maintaining consistency.

Assets stored in the DAM can be used on web pages to display images or link to downloadable documents. Users can edit images, apply automatic tags through image recognition, and manage metadata, including support for the Dublin Core standard. Access control ensures proper permissions for managing and editing assets.

Storing assets in the DAM ensures centralization, reusability, and consistency across multiple websites. Updating an asset in the Assets app automatically updates all instances where it is used. Standardized metadata fields help maintain structured content management.

For advanced integration, the External DAM integration framework offers prebuilt connectors for S3 and Bynder. Developers can also extend functionality using the DAM API.

For a detailed overview of available functionality, see the Digital Asset Management feature page.
