Changelog

The changelog gives you an overview of the changes made to the Image Recognition module at each release.

3.0.0

Released on November 13, 2025.

Image Recognition 3.0 is compatible with Magnolia 6.3 but is not the default version. Use it only with DAM 5.0. For details, see the DAM 5.0 compatibility table.

  • Image Recognition 3.0 is compatible with Magnolia 6.3 and requires an opt-in approach. Image Recognition 2.x remains the default in 6.3.

  • Image Recognition 4.0 is compatible with Magnolia 6.4, is the default version in 6.4, and follows the 6.4 lifecycle.

Add Magnolia AI Accelerator module as an additional provider.

IMGREC-136

Breaking change: The ImageRecogniser.recognise method signature changes from byte[] to ImageBinary.

Custom implementations of the ImageRecogniser interface won’t compile or run unless updated to use the new ImageBinary parameter.
