Breaking changes

Restricted access over non-HTTPS by default

This release changes a security-related default setting for the secureCookie property. For all non-HTTPS environments (except localhost), secureCookie must be set to false for users to log in successfully. See Security cookie attributes.

Improvements

  • MAGNOLIA-9583 Disable indexing on the version workspace

    To minimize disk space and CPU usage for versioning actions, indexing for the mgnlVersion workspace is disabled in this release.

    If you want this improvement when upgrading manually, the SearchIndex tag and its contents needs to be removed from repositories/magnolia/workspaces/mgnlVersion/workspace.xml See Workspace configuration for more details.

  • MAGNOLIA-9623 Improve Jackrabbit’s index repair utility based on Magnolia’s metadata properties

    This data consistency improvement allows you to build an index from a snapshot to be synchronised with a database, rather than from scratch. It’s for system administrators and should improve indexing accuracy and maintenance. See forceConsistencyCheck for more details.

  • MGNLRES-423 Deleting an already published item doesn’t work

  • MGNLSITE-227 Components are incorrectly inheriting properties and content from prototypes

  • MGNLUI-9189 Source of image preview in the UploadField isn’t properly updated after uploading a file with the same name as the previous file

  • MAGNOLIA-9650 Don’t return version name for content marked as deleted
